Review: 75022 Mandalorian Speeder

The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 4 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

75022-06211 pieces ($0.1185 per piece)

3 figures:
Cyborg Darth Maul
2 Mandalorian Super Commandos

Overall score – 7 out of 10
Difficulty – Easy to moderate

Pros
3 figures that are new and exclusive to this set. The new Mandalorian Commandos are the highlights of this set. The helmet is the same sculpt used in the newest Boba Fett and Jango Fett figures, but with a different paint scheme. The Cyborg Darth Maul is a great figure for fans of Darth Maul. If you missed out on the shirtless Darth Maul, you can easily replace the cyborg legs of this figure to an all black set of legs and have a reasonable facsimile.

Hidden missiles – These are placed under the front of the windshield with independent firing mechanisms.

Cons
The speeder vehicle lacks in many ways:
Originality – looks very similar to a sports car without wheels.
Durability – Both the windshield and the front panels become detached quite easily with any type of play. If you are a parent you may find yourself rebuilding these parts frequently if you have a younger builder.

Stickers – Although there are only five stickers, these easily could have been printed bricks.

Overall this is a great set for a minifigure collector but not for someone that is looking for much of a building experience.
