KC Brick Lab’s LEGO display at Union Station Kansas City Inc.’s Holiday Display as a part of the Kansas City Model Railroad Society’s Annual Holiday layout. The Tree, Ornaments, and Gifts are 100% LEGO. On the final build – The Gifts and Ornaments were built by the fantastic members of KC Brick Lab. Also full sized christmas tree built of Lego. It contains about 36,000 bricks. From bottom to top of the star is 6′ 3″. Weighs about 160 lbs with ornaments. The tree it’s self took about 150 hours to build. This beloved free to visit attraction is open daily 9am to 5pm throughout the Holiday Season, with special extended hours during the KCS Holiday Express visit. The holiday display is a special extension of the year-round volunteer-built and staffed Model Train Exhibit, which features 8,000 square feet of displays and is offered absolutely FREE to over 250,000 visitors annually.
