LEGO® Launches 5th CUUSOO Project

The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 7 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover has been a favorite project on the LEGO Ideas site since the build was first published.  It was designed and submitted by one of the actual engineers who worked on the Curiosity Rover, Stephen Pakbaz, a NASA engineer who also happens to be an AFOL. “Perijove”, as he goes by on the forums, was super excited to have received his copy of the official kit, #21104, in the mail recently.  Pakbaz says it is very close to his original prototype and is very pleased with how the design team incorporated subtle changes to the final model to make it that much more authentic.  The kit will be available January 1st 2014 at for $29.99 along with the Parisian Restaurant (#10243 at $159.99), the Maersk Line Triple-E (#10241 at $149.99), as well as many other kits for the new year.  For more information on the Curiosity kit and CUUSOO check out the main article in the CUUSOO forums.
